About this tool
Text recognition runs in your browser with Tesseract. Clear, straight, high-contrast images work best. The first run downloads the language data, a few megabytes per language, and your browser keeps it for later. Always check the result, especially for Urdu and handwriting.

Is my image uploaded?
No. The text is read in your browser. Only the language data is downloaded.
Does it read handwriting?
Poorly. It is built for printed text.
Why is the Urdu result wrong in places?
Urdu script is hard for OCR. Use a sharp, well-lit image and correct the output by hand.
